I’m finally getting round to writing a well overdue nudge, and I do hope life is good with you. We had a lovely summer here in the UK, and I’m still enjoying sunny walks by the River – you can just see my Marina where I live in the photo above.

A nudge to give yourself a break from thinking

Giving ourselves a break from thinking seems more important than ever in these crazy times we’re living in. Walking is a great way for me to do that … to get back in the natural flow of life and be more present to what is vs living in my sometimes noisy, imaginery thinking.

There is such a different feeling level between just being in the moment, and being in my thinking in the moment!

When thinking stops the flow

A good friend recently shared a wonderful video about this entitled ‘When Thinking Stops the Flow’, which offers a perfect metaphor for how well all of us naturally work. Or, as I often share, how well we naturally work when we get out of our own way!

As well as highlighting the dilemma of overthinking, and how thoughts will just pass through if left alone, I love how the video illustrates the ever present, natural intelligence in nature. The same deeper intelligence, or innate wisdom, which lives in us and which we can always rely on. It’s less than a 5 minutes watch, nothing to overthink just see what rings true for you.

I really hope you enjoy the video and it gives you some fresh insights. I’d love to hear what resonates for you … if it leaves you with a nice feeling it’s worked its magic!

Have a lovely rest of your day/evening and all the best for now
